Mallory Johnson

Mallory Johnson been playing volleyball for 10 years and is looking forward to starting her first season coaching for VAVA. She played all four years of High School and seven years of club in both the USA and Germany. In High School she earned 1 st team all Europe, 1 st team all-Region, and MVP Junior and Senior year as well as being the captain for her team. Senior year she was awarded Sportswoman of the year by Wiesbaden High School and was named the number two volleyball player in the DoDEA Europe school system. Mallory began as an opposite hitter Freshman and Sophomore year at Colonial Forge High School, then changed to starting setter Junior and Senior year at Wiesbaden American High School in Germany. She also played for Wiesbaden Volleyball club as an outside and defensive specialist. She is now playing for the George Mason club volleyball team as an opposite hitter and setter.

She is currently attending George Mason University studying Global Affairs. For the past two years she has assisted the Mount Vernon High School Volleyball team as well as Monument Club Volleyball. When coaching she focuses on fundamental skills as well as specializing in setter training. Mallory uses the knowledge she has gained from her years as a hitter and setter to help assist any coach and player that could benefit from that information.
